The Department of Psychology at Columbia University invites applications for a faculty position at the tenure-track assistant professor level in social psychology to begin July 1, 2027. We seek applications from individuals conducting social psychological research in areas that complement and build on the Department’s current areas of expertise, including social cognition, affect, person perception, relationships, intergroup relations, and inequality and social justice. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of research productivity and teaching commensurate with the position level. Individuals with multi-method expertise, including computational approaches to the study of social behavior, psychophysiology, use of big data, and other novel methods, are especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants for the positions must possess a doctoral degree in Psychology or a related field and have demonstrated an ability for pioneering research as well as the promise of excellence in teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
