Assistant or Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior

In anticipation of possible hiring, the Yale School of Management (SOM) is soliciting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Organizational Behavior at the rank of either Assistant or Associate Professor. Macro, Meso, and Micro scholars are encouraged to apply.

The mission of SOM is to educate leaders for business and society. Faculty in the organizational behavior group embody this calling in their scholarship, teaching, and service.

Qualifications
This position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in organizational behavior or a field that is broadly related, including psychology, sociology, management, public health, education, and the many related disciplines that inform how groups organize, function, and are managed. Individuals who are currently ABD must be awarded their degree before December 31, 2027.

The selected candidate will be expected to conduct high-quality research, representing early demonstration of intellectual leadership, in their area of study. The position also requires teaching and advising students in SOM’s PhD, master’s, and executive education programs. 

Appointment terms
This is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position located at the Yale School of Management in New Haven, Connecticut. Appointments will be made for the 2027-28 academic year, beginning July 1, 2027. Individuals with little to no prior work experience in a full-time faculty position will be considered at the Assistant Professor rank, but more experienced applicants who have held a full-time ladder-track faculty role for a few years may be eligible for hire as Associate Professor (tenure-track) provided they meet the University’s qualifications for that rank.
