ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY

ABOUT THE ROLE:
A tenure-track appointment in the Department of Psychology at Huron University College, in any area of Applied Psychology, will be responsible for delivering high-quality undergraduate experience in a small, liberal arts context. Joining a vibrant and close-knit community of faculty, the successful candidate will be expected to teach 2.5 full undergraduate courses per year (including a share of Introductory Psychology), maintain an active research program that is inclusive of undergraduate researchers, and engage in the administrative life of the department and university.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Completed Ph.D. in an area of Applied Psychology.
- Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching.
- Demonstrated record of established research in the applicant’s field.
- A program of research with a clear connection to community and/or the expertise to teach qualitative research methods at the undergraduate level would be considered an asset
COMPENSATION:
Subject to budgetary approval, the appointment rank will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and commence July 1, 2026. This position is eligible for enrollment in Huron’s Pension and Benefit plans and will be compensated as outlined in the governing Collective Agreement.
