The Social Action Lab and the Division of Communication Science Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania have openings for postdoctoral researchers to conduct basic and policy work on decision-making, attitudes and persuasion, social cognition, self-regulation, and behavioral change. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to write research papers and reports, expertise in advanced quantitative methods, outstanding organizational and time management skills, excellent written and communication skills, and interest in collaborating with an energetic interdisciplinary team. A Ph.D. in psychology is required. Appointments will be through the Department of Psychology and the Annenberg Public Policy Center. (APPC) The secondary appointment to APPC carries a special, endowed postdoctoral researcher title.

First-year postdoctoral researchers will receive a minimum stipend of $67,000 commensurate with prior postdoctoral experience and serve in a 12-month appointment beginning September 1, 2025. The position is expected to last several years with good performance, though it cannot exceed five years given institutional rules. The position offers ample research opportunities, outstanding research and travel funding, involvement in grant writing if desired, and close mentorship in executing projects that jointly advance the researcher’s career and the institutional mission.
