Healogix is seeking a full-time Director, Computational Social & Behavioral Science to join our Behavioral Science Unit.
One of our primary goals is to build advanced behavioral science methodologies that illuminate healthcare decision-making processes—both understanding why decisions occur and anticipating future behavioral patterns—through computational analysis of conversational data, social dynamics, and belief systems. Reporting to Healogix’s Head of Behavioral Science, this position will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge methodologies that identify linguistic patterns predicting real-world behaviors in healthcare settings.
The ideal candidate will have strong NLP and computational skills combined with deep expertise in social psychology and decision-making processes.
This is a fully remote, U.S.-based position. Healogix is currently unable to sponsor applicants for work visas. All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities: Your primary role will be working with the Head of Behavioral Science to…
- Lead computational behavioral research initiatives that combine natural language processing with complementary methodologies (Bayesian modeling, social network analysis, hedging models) to understand and predict healthcare decision-making; additionally, support the design and execution of other behavioral research approaches (surveys, experiments, interviews) to provide holistic insights into healthcare decision-making
- Build and implement scalable NLP systems for analyzing conversations across platforms like Reddit, patient forums, and social media to extract behavioral insights from large volumes of healthcare-related conversational data
- Support strategic business development and client engagement efforts by presenting research findings, contributing to proposals, participating in client meetings, and demonstrating thought leadership (both internally and externally, e.g., at industry conferences)
- Translate complex behavioral insights derived from computational analysis into actionable client recommendations and strategic guidance
