The Department of Psychology, Philosophy, and Neuroscience, State University of New York (SUNY) Brockport, invites applications for a full-time postdoctoral position in psychology through the SUNY Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth plus (PRODiG+) Fellowship program to begin August 2025. The PRODiG+ program aims to: (1)  increase the number of excellent diverse faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion; and (2) strengthen the pipeline for retention and support of these candidates.  This is a two-year position with the opportunity to apply for a tenure track position in the home academic department upon fellowship completion. 

We seek a candidate with teaching and research interests in ANY area of psychology. Fellows are welcome to focus on a wide range of scholarly topics and disciplinary areas with an emphasis on promoting and impacting diversity, equity, and inclusion through scholarship, teaching, and service to the campus community. The successful candidate will, in addition to teaching two courses per semester, mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students in research and career pathways, advance their own scholarly projects, and participate in service to the department and university. The psychology fellow will have the opportunity to establish an independent scholarly agenda and a teaching portfolio.  

Mentorship as well as funding for research-justified expenses, professional development, and travel will be available. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing department that houses an undergraduate, graduate, and online degree completion program, with a newly developed Thriving Institute. The department is committed to fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion through our curricula, scholarship and community building.
