Post-doctoral Position

The Georgetown Laboratory for Relational Cognition, directed by Adam Green, invites applications for a postdoctoral position focused on NSF- and foundation-funded research using computational and behavioral methods to investigate creativity in educational contexts. The postdoc will contribute to projects using NLP and large language data, as well as new data collections, to investigate creativity – including human-AI hybrid creativity – and other character strengths. The work will include development of novel computational metrics and analysis of a large college admissions and outcomes
data set. Depending on the postdocs’s interest, there will also be opportunity to contribute to projects that employ neuromodulation (TMS, tES, tFUS) in combination with neuroimaging toward enhancing creativity and executive function, and projects related to learning in real-world educational contexts.

The anticipated start date for the position is Spring or Summer of 2025, but earlier starting times are possible. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Favorable consideration will be given to applicants with a strong record of productivity and with experience or
substantial interest in the following areas: creativity, computational methods, data science, learning, neuromodulation, and neuroimaging and/or electrical recording methods.

Interested candidates should send a CV and a letter of application describing research interests and professional goals to Maggie Shideler (ms5324@georgetown.edu), and should include the names of three professional references who can readily provide letters of recommendation upon request. Any informal inquiries can be sent to the PI, Adam Green (aeg58@Georgetown.edu).
